Subject: Notice to passengers – Primera Air ceases operations
Air carrier Primera Air yesterday announced its decision to cease all operations after 14 years of activity.
This summer, two new routes from Montréal were announced by the carrier: Montréal-Paris and Montréal-Frankfurt. Although these two routes were still not operational, travellers may have already purchased their tickets online.
Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) regrets the inconvenience that passengers may experience as a result of this decision. Although Primera Air has indicated its intention to provide updates on its Internet site over the next few days, ADM offers the following tips to travellers affected by this unfortunate situation:
- If you purchased your tickets through a travel agency or a tour operator, contact them to benefit from the protection of the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents;
- If you purchased your tickets online, contact your credit card company to inquire about their refund policy.
