I am a new employee. Where to start?

If you need to access the restricted area of the airport as part of your employment, you must obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). Refer to the Restricted Area Identity Card page for the procedure to follow.

What documents are required to work at the airport?

As part of the procedure for obtaining a Restricted Area Identity Card, you will need to provide different documents, depending on your status. You will need to provide documents relating to your identity and your criminal record. If you have spent time outside the country, you will need to provide additional documentation, such as proof of employment, education, and activities. Refer to the Restricted Area Identity Card page for all the details.

I will be working at the airport on a temporary basis. What type of pass is required?

The type of pass required depends on the nature and duration of your work at the airport. Contact your employer so they can tell you what to do.

I recently changed employers at the airport. What should I do?

The pass must always reflect your employer and your occupation. Following any change, you must obtain a new pass. To do this, you will have to go to the APO, by appointment (Biometry). Refer to the Appointment Booking page for more information and to view the list of required documents. You cannot use a pass from your previous employer in your new job.

I recently got a second job at the airport. What should I do?

The pass must always reflect your employer and your occupation. If you have more than one job at the airport, you must obtain a new pass. To do this, you will have to go to the APO, by appointment (Biometry). Refer to the Appointment Booking page for more information and to view the list of required documents. You cannot use a pass issued in the name of a single employer if you work for multiple employers.

If you must drive a vehicle in the restricted area as part of your employment, you must obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (AVOP). Refer to the Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit page for the procedure to follow.
